Job Post: Diesel Mechanic (C- Lower)

GRADE: C - LOWER

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Grade 12 or N3 (Maths)

  • Recognized Trade Test

  • At least 5 years post trade test experience.

  • At least 5 years maintenance experience on U/G FLP diesel equipment Eimco 913 and Eimco ED7LP experience will be advantageous.

  • Driver’s L icense (Code 8/EB).

  • Flameproof certificate

  • Gas Testing Certificate

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fault finding and repairs on Eimco; Elgen FLP equipment

  • Perform brake testing to ensure compliance

  • Perform daily safety device checks to ensure compliance.

  • Fault finding on hydraulic circuits

  • Perform scheduled maintenance on FLP diesel equipment

  • Safety Regulations.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Safety Regulations

  • Company policies/ procedures and practices

  • Knowledge of Eimco, Fermel, Elgin Tractors & CAT machinery

  • HIRAC
